Well Helloooooo Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well!! This weekend we just hung out in the Haven! On Saturday a few of our friends came over, and we just cooked and hung out. VERY low key but VERY enjoyable! On Sunday, I had two teas to go to, and they went very well, and everything was so pretty! We don't have too much going on right now, but we do have a few things. First of all, Hal and the Fair River Flyers have made it to the basketball playoffs! They play on Tuesday, and I hope they have more than five players next week so they can win the championship! I have started substituting at BA, and so far I have taught 4th and 1st grade (I am liking the older ones a little better ha). I have high school and kindergarten next, so please say a little prayer for me ha! I think that's all I have for now! I have put up a few pictures of our house for ya'll to see (we finally have some plants!). We hope to see/talk to everyone soon! WE LOVE YOU, BYE!!!

Weekend Wedding!

This weekend we went to Jackson for Matthew Koury and Bethany Harris's Wedding. We had the best time, and it was so good to see everyone!! This is only the beginning of the weddings we have coming up, and it was a good one to start off with! On Sunday, we ate at Julep, and it was sooooo good. Mr. Miller had been talking about their fried chicken all day, and I couldn't wait to try it! It was just as delicious as he described and can't wait to eat it again! We don't have too much going on this week, but if anything comes up I'll be sure to let ya know! Finally Settled!

Okay, I just want everyone to know that the blog is up and running again!! I know it has been a while but we have finally gotten settled in Brookhaven, have internet, moved into our house, and all that other good stuff. There is too much that has happened in the past 3 months to update everyone on everything, so I will start updating, posting pictures, and all that other good stuff from this point on. I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE SONG!!!!!

As you know by now I have a new favorite song that I have to share! It's by The Band Perry, and it's called "If I Die Young." They are a bluegrass/country band, and it is composed of two brothers and their sister. I have basically looked up everything about the song (I know I am a nerd, but I think it's cool to know) This is their reasoning behind writing the song: "We wanted to write a song about making the most of whatever time you're given- whether it's two years, twenty years, or two hundred years. We have really gotten to live and learn at our young ages. 'If I Die Young,' for us, is if it all ends at this moment look at what we've gotten to do. Whatever time we've been given will be absolutely enough as long as we make the most of it." This song is not the most upbeat song but nonetheless I love it. Check it Out!!! (p.s. my favorite line of the song is at 1:21.) Hal and I are just watching the Rangers Play the Yankees tonight (GO RANGERS!). Hope everyone is doing well!

The Ole Miss Bears

So Ole Miss has become the Ole Miss black bears which I still think that we will always be the Ole Miss Rebels or at least I hope. Honestly, I think that the whole thing is a little unneccessary, but sometimes you just have to deal with it. The idea behind the bear (which I didn't know) was inspired by one of William Faulkner's books, "The Bear." The bear in the book symbolized pride, strength, and toughness.

My friend put this picture up, and it is supposed to be making fun of us and we would be the Ole miss "care bears." If you remember this old cartoon I think it is hilarious for some reason

Whatever the mascot is now or may become, I am just glad I just graduated college as an Ole Miss Rebel before they changed it ha. Oh, and I want to leave everyone with my new favorite country song by Blake Shelton which is called "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking?" This is the Live Version fyi!

Fishing, Fair, and Fun!

I am hooked on deap sea fishing (no pun intended)!!! We had the best time and caught so many fish. We ate delicious food (Chef Scott's), played some tennis, went to Shearwater and saw their potter (it was beautiful), and had an overall relaxing weekend! I cannot wait to go back. I have posted a few pictures as well as videos for everyone to see from the weekend.. ENJOY!!
