Real or Fake?- You Decide

So, Hal found this picture, and it is a really awesome picture of Elvis playing football while wearing an Ole Miss shirt. However, you never know if something has been photo-shopped or not, but it sure doesn't look like it to us. Do ya'll think it is real or fake?? Lacy, since you are from Tupelo can you please confirm or deny this picture for us!! We are going to go with real & AMAZING (even though it probably isn't)!! I guess even the King of Rock & Roll wants to be a Rebel!

Hal wants everyone to give their opinion on this one!
Love, Bye!

Spring Break

Hal and I just got back to Oxford! I had a wonderful week, and I don't want it to be over. The first half of the week, I was able to be at home with the family, and I got A LOT of wedding stuff done which is really exciting! We also celebrated
my brother's birthday which is March 23, and we celebrated by going out to eat with the family and having a camouflage cake which was delicious! Also, mom found this list where people tried to guess different things about me before I was born (male/female, hair color, eye color, weight, etc) There was a whole poster board (front and back) of guesses. However, there were two names that really just stood out: Golda Michelle & Fred-nickname "Bud." Luckily my name would eventually be Kelli Elizabeth, but the other names were interesting ha.On Thursday, Hal & I had our engagement pictures (which turned out so cute!!). After the pictures, Hal, his brother William, and his dad went fishing in Golden Meadow, LA, and they had such a good day of fishing! They caught 32 red-fish, and even had to end their trip early because they caught there limit so early! Chad (their guide) apparently found "the honey hole."On Friday, Hal's mom (Mrs. Tricia) & I met the boys on the Coast, and we had a very relaxing and wonderful weekend (we missed Kennedy, Dot, and H though!)! We ate delicious food the whole weekend! We ate a delicious sushi restaurant called Chef Scott's, where we all got matching hats because it was summertime (at least, that's what we think he said, but we aren't really sure), On Saturday morning we ate Tato-nuts and got some delicious donuts to start off the morning! After donuts, Hal, William, and I went fishing on the pier (which was really cold and windy but FUN!). Spongebob also joined us for a little while, and he is always enjoyable!Later, we played tennis and basketball, ate some lunch, and then that night we ate at an Italian restaurant called, Al-Frescos. William at a calzone that was the size of (I'll quote Mr. Miller on this one), "a deflated football," and won the Man vs. Food challenge. It was very impressive. We were so sad when we had to leave, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Spring Break was a great, relaxing week, and now it's time to start getting busy again! Only 110 days until the wedding! Yay!! I can't wait to see everyone!

Hal says, "Where's the sun? I want to go fishing again!"
Love, Bye!

Scrabble

Hal and I had a great sunny day today!!! After class, Hank got to play with his new fried Jake, and Elsie (a high pointe native & CSD partner) and I had a fun time watching them. Kk came and joined us for a little while, but her teacher gave her a midterm the day before spring break, and she had to leave!! Terrible!
Hal came and joined us after he got done with work and running (he is preparing for his next 5k), and, we sat on the back porch and watched Hank and Jake play all day (we missed Oliver though)! Jake had this gadget called the ChuckIt that helped throw the ball for him, and Hank was more interested in it than the ball. HIGHlarious!
After it started getting dark, Elsie, Hal, and I decided to play a game a rousing game of Scrabble!! Which Hank helped Hal win the game.
All in All, it was a great day!! I hope the sunshine continues, because everyone is in such a great mood (including me)!!

Hal says to You Tube "Little Superstar."
Love, Bye!

The New Oasis

As most of you know, I love having my oasis!! I just finished my new oasis for this coming spring/summer, and I can't wait until it's warm outside, so I can sit out back and enjoy the weather and the scenery! I wish you were all here to enjoy with me and Hal!!

Also, Hank has made some new friends at High Pointe. A big chocolate lab named Jake and a small beagle named Oliver. They have the best time, and I will post pictures of them soon so you can see!! It is pretty funny.

Congratulations to ANNA for getting into HARVARD!!! That is so incredible, and I am so happy for her!!!!

Hal is at work, so he has no fun comments for everyone (Such a disappointment!)
Love, Bye!

Maroon, White Fight Fight Fight

Well, I had a Maroon & White filled weekend! Not my favorite colors, to say the least, nevertheless, I had a great weekend with the family & Hal. We went to the baseball games on Saturday, and Kolby got to catch the opening pitch from a boy scout who, let's just say, does NOT have a future in baseball. He threw the ball way over Kolby's head, and about 5 feet in the wrong direction. He was really cute though!
On a serious/very sweet note, after the boy scout got through with his lovely pitch, a little boy came on the mound to throw a pitch before the game who was part of the Catch a Dream Foundation. This is a foundation that allows kids 18 & younger who have a terminal illness to be able to have once-in-lifetime opportunities. This little guy is dying of cancer, and his dream was to be able to grow up and play baseball and throw the opening pitch for Mississippi State. He got up to the mound, and you could tell he was taking it very seriously. He wound up, and threw a perfect strike across the plate, and everyone stood up and cheered. Afterward, the Mississippi State Baseball team lined up, and they all shook the little boys hand. It was soo sad!!

Here are a couple of more pictures from the weekend, including a video of Shelby doing the chicken dance. She's a diamond girl, and they have to do it every game. Check out the little boy in the shot, he is sooo funny, and my mom says he does it every game. Oh, and of course State gave Ole Miss a shout out in the outfield. So sweet.

After the game, we played a very fun (family favorite) card game called Rook. If you have not played you must! Just remember this, Red One beats the Rook, and the Rook beats everything else! That is all.

My dad & his Poker Face.

That's all I got!! Just a wonderful weekend with the Mom, Dad, Na-Na, Pa-Pa, Kolby, Shelby, Hal, & Hank!!! Now back in Oxford & ready for Spring Break so I can get some wedding stuff done!

Hal says bring him BBQ!
Love, Bye!

Fancy is My Name

The concert was INCREDIBLE last night!!! We had such a good time, and our seats were amazing!Lee Ann Womack opened up the show, and she sang one of my all time favorite songs! Which is a duet with Willie Nelson called "Mendocino County Line." She was awesome but only a warm-up!
Next, was REBA!!!!!! I adore her, and I want her to be my friend. She sang all the oldies along with some new songs. THIS IS FOR CARR- Reba was singing on stage, and all of sudden Lee Ann Womack joined her on stage, and the sang "DOES HE LOVE YOU"!!! You would have looovveed it!!
Before the show, I joked with Hal, and was telling him that I heard Barbara Jean (from the show Reba) was going to show up--but I was only joking. HOWEVER, she was actually there, and they put on almost a twenty minute comedy show, and it was HIGHlarious!!!! At the end of their comedy act, they sang the theme song to the Reba Show-"I'm a Survivor". At that point, it was my favorite thing of the night.

All night I had waited for Reba to sing "FANCY!"! It's my favorite song that she sings. However, after she had finished a few songs, she left the stage and the lights came on for intermission, and I began to get up to leave a go to the bathroom to get ready for George Strait. AND THEN, all of a sudden the lights go out, and the video for Fancy came on the Jumbo-tron. I started screaming!! Then Reba come out in this flashy red number and sings "Fancy" like I've never heard before. That was my favorite part of the night!!After Reba finished "Fancy," the King of Country came on stage. He is just Classic Country, and sooooo Handsome!!
I cry everytime he plays "Troubadour."
We had such a great night!!! I even bought a George Strait hat. Hal gave me the best surprise ever!! This was a really long post, but I had to tell ya'll everything!! I am headed to Starkville this weekend to watch Kolby play baseball, so I will talk to ya'll soon!!
Hal says to try Nutella, because it is really good!!
Love, Bye!

Ole Miss Mascot

As you all know, Ole Miss's controversy on campus at the moment is who will take the place of the legendary Colonel Reb. (NO ACKBAR!!!!! I don't even know how to spell it) I have heard many ideas but there are two that are just my absolute favorite!!and I will be very content if they vote this to be the new mascot........
The first idea that I heard and actually like is that we would have a horse named rebel, and at the beginning of every game he would run around the field and eventually run to a trainer in the middle of the field. I love this idea because I think the image of a wild horse is symbolic of a rebel and very freeing in some way. AND I just love horses : )

The second idea, which I just heard the other day and absolutely love, is WILLIAM FAULKNER!!! It confused me at first, but he is basically the symbol of OleMiss/Oxford anyway. I think this is a great idea! Sooo Classic!!

Have ya'll heard of anything else you like??? The University is now taking ideas, so if you think of any please let me know! And if you say Ackbar, I will not be happy. haha.

Oh, And I will be posting pictures/summary of LeeAnn Womack, Reba, and George Strait Concert i went to last night. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

Hal say nothing because he is asleep!
Love, Bye!

Hank the Frog

I have decided to write a children's book!! It's going to be a book that shows babies and children how to do sign language. Here are my thoughts on how I will present books. My main character is a little green frog named Hank (because what child does not love a frog?) . The books will come in a package of three: the first book will teach the alphabet, the second book will teach everyday words (like milk, juice, sleep, etc.), and the 3rd book will teach the child fun words (like animals, colors, etc.) Hank the Frog will be the main character in each book, and he meets friends and different people along the way to help the child learn sign language. Also, along with the three books, a stuffed animal of a frog is included! Don't you think this is a great idea! I have been doing a little research to see what books are out there on the subject, and there is a lot that teach parents how to teach their child, but not alot that teaches the children directly. So if anyone has any suggestion, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

Now About the Wedding!......
I have most of the larger things planned and ready to go, but now it's the smaller things which REALLY add up!
First of all, my invitations came in today!! I am so excited, and I love them! The only thing I would change is the font for the block letters. It isn't exactly how I wanted them, but OH WELL it happens!
And Second, I am thinking about doing my hair half up, half down for the wedding
Something like this maybe?
Of, course I would have my bangs, as usual, and I will have a tan and no blond hair (only my tiger stripes). What do you think?? That's all I got for now!

Hal says hello world!
Love, Bye!
